The Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals has an exciting opportunity for an Education Coordinator/LMS Administrator to join our team! This position plays a key role in our Education Department supporting the Director of Education & Events and the Education Manager.
Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), providing day-to-day support to users. Effectively utilize adult learning methodologies to implement engaging programs for learners. Troubleshoot user issues and resolve matters appropriately. Analyze and identify needs to improve educational tools and processes. Coordinate education IT projects. Support Director of Education & Events and Education Manager on implementation of related education programs and events.
Provide daily administration and support of the ANFP Learning Management System.
Increase learner engagement and retention through course presentation, learner activities and gamification.
Improve overall learner experience using adult learning methodologies.
Serve as the first tier point of contact for the learning management system.
Defines and documents process and protocol for content maintenance schedule.
Coordinates and continuously improves LMS administration processes and activities cross-functionally to create best possible learning experience for users.
Collaborate with IT and vendors on integration improvements and implementations.
Writes and revises documentation for system configuration & standard operating procedures.
Keeps abreast of changing education technologies and enhancements.
Coordinate education IT initiatives and enhancements under the direction of Education Director and Education Manager. Assess project status and assist in identifying project requirements for scope of work, monitor project status as needed.
Organize education project roadmap and schedule in support of implementation of all education programs, textbooks, curriculum, and exam preparation material.
Assist in creation of board reports to measure key performance indicators on education related goals.
Collaborate with Marketing on promotion of education products and services.
Assist Director of Education in support of education committee communication, minutes, etc.
Input and testing of all continuing education products into netForum and FindCE tool.

Required Education and Experience
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Required Experience: 3 years business and/or customer service experience required; 1 year experience in education, online learning and/or instructional design
Preferred Education and Experience
Preferred Education: Instructional Design Degree or Certificate preferred
Preferred Experience: 1-3 years LMS experience; one year association experience; one year project management experience
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
High level of initiative, problem solving skills and ability to be flexible and adapt to shifting priorities
Strong technical aptitude, including learning management systems and association management software
Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment without direct supervision
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of project management concepts and tools.
5% travel out of the Chicago area, availability to travel to St. Charles area all-staff meetings is required.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, keyboarding, sitting, standing, communicating verbally, highly concentrated mental and visual alertness, ability to hear and receive detailed information
