Manage the accounting operations of both NGA and NYSEARCH including accounting policies, revenue recognition, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, financial controls, tax, financial statement reporting, and audit.
Coordinate company’s financial planning, budgeting, and investment activities.
Oversee the preparation of periodic financial statements, activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
Assist in the development of annual budget and forecasts; report significant budget differences and identify potential risks to the organization.
Coordinate project management accounting of industry research project activities including, tracking and reporting revenues, expenses and profitability.
Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including year-end closing processes.
Manage and conduct payroll.
Manage and establish processes for complying with local, state, federal, and other reporting, and tax requirements.
Develop and maintain strong accounting policies, processes, and internal controls.
Support audit process, including interfacing with external auditors, to ensure a transparent and complete audit process.
Manage internal and external accounting staff.
Education, Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
Minimum ten years of related experience required that includes budgeting, financial forecasting, planning, organizing, and managing multiple financial activities ideally with experience in a nonprofit environment.
Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of GAAP.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and controls; familiarity with specialized nonprofit industry accounting practices, reporting requirements, and procedures preferred.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and effectively work with colleagues of all levels including non-accountants and individuals with varying levels of financial expertise.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Sage Intacct, and remote work technologies (e.g., Microsoft Teams and Zoom).
