Job Summary/General Purpose of Job
Develop strategic direction and marketing plan for all entity offerings. This includes but is not limited to creating cohesive brand awareness, developing message platforms, marketing entity activities and achievements, honing the entity’s public perception, identifying suitable target audiences and establishing effective marketing efforts.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)
The Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources (SEER) Marketing Specialist will report to the SEER Associate Director and be responsible for development of strategic direction, marketing plans, and marketing assets for all entity offerings. This includes but is not limited to creating cohesive brand awareness, marketing entity activities and achievements, honing the entity’s public perception, identifying suitable target audiences, and establishing effective marketing efforts. This position manages all aspects of the technological operations within the Section, including the website, discussion boards, mobile apps, and email messaging systems. Candidates will need to be proficient at navigating different technologies and software’s, including Adobe and InDesign, as well as have strong design and copyediting skills. Additionally, this position will serve as the primary staff liaison to volunteer leaders involved in marketing and communications. The position coordinates with and informs the leadership of website developments as well as provides instruction on the ABA tools best suited for program promotions.

Required Education, Qualifications, Experience
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 5-7 years marketing and communications experience with a minimum of 2 years experience in the membership association context.
Proven experience in marketing plan development, administration and evaluation required.
