The Director of Communications directs the overall communications strategy of Tau Kappa Epsilon through our social media channels, website, podcast and other communication vehicles. This role also serves as the primary writer for THE TEKE Magazine.
The Director of Communication reports to the Chief Information Officer.

Strong project management with ability to work within a tight deadline and balance multiple projects at once

Support organization in branding, publishing, marketing, engaging in and all communications efforts
Create and maintain year-to-year communications plan
Update and maintain all parts of the Tau Kappa Epsilon’s website, including creating new content for the news section of TKE.org
Oversee the planning and production of our quarterly magazine, THE TEKE, and other promotional materials, including writing the content for the magazine
Conduct interviews, via audio or video, to create feature stories on members of Tau Kappa Epsilon for both website and magazine distribution
Manages the production and content creation for the TKE Nation Podcast
Manages the video production process either through editing or use of an outside vendor
Update, maintain, and monitor the organization’s social media presence, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn and associated advertising
Manage relationships with outside vendors such as magazine design firm to complete projects
Edit or assist with content editing for brand standards and grammatical errors to maintain and promote proper brand usage

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or equivalent work experience
Experience writing or editing content for the web
Experience with Microsoft Office products, Adobe Creative Suite or other desktop publishing software
Experience with email marketing systems such as MailChimp is a plus
Available to work occasional evenings and weekends
