The Fiscal Associate- Community Partnerships will work with selected non-profit organizations, leading and supporting the execution of in-depth contracts and grants, including communications during contracting processes with the funding entities as well as directors, managers, and program leads. The cross-programmatic activities of programs are under the direction of the Executive Director, the Chief Financial Officer, as well as other program directors and managers. Organizationally, the Fiscal Associate- Community Partnerships will be a member of YCD’s Fiscal Team, reporting to YCD’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Fiscal Associate- Community Partnerships will partner with our fiscal team and internal support teams contributing to the satisfaction, retention, and growth of client relationships. We are looking for candidates who have professional experience working with a diverse set of non-profit organizations, funders, colleagues, partners, clients, and program participants, federal, state, and local government department staff, policymakers, community stakeholders, financial and technical service providers.
This position will manage fiscal capacity assistance for a wide range of emerging non-profit organizations throughout the City and County of San Francisco. Typical non-profit organizations can be characterized as “emerging” (visionaries and early-stage start-up organizations), led by People Of Color, and require fiscal sponsorship by an established organization such as Young Community Developers (YCD). The Fiscal Associate- Community Partnerships will design and build high-trust relationships, create strategic alignment, and facilitate coordinated actions across the YCD ecosystem, including funders, grantees, philanthropic organizations, and other community leaders and partnerships. Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of delivering excellent client service, with exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Maintain existing client relationships with current YCD fiscally sponsored non-profit organizations, acting as the primary point of contact for inquires related to account maintenance, cash management, distributions, and fiscal reporting.
Assist with fiscally sponsored non-profit organization supervision and mentorship, program evaluation, reporting, and project management including monitoring program budgets, budget tracking and program expenditures and invoicing, recommending alternatives to improve operating practices, and to ensuring client requests are executed within defined service level agreements.
Research and resolve routine to moderately complex client issues leveraging internal support resources and/or escalate as appropriate to management.
Participate in client meeting scheduling, preparation and attend client meetings, events and seminars as needed.
Understand and adhere to outlined company policies and procedures to ensure client activities are handled with firm standards.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING A successful candidate will possess:
Bachelor’s degree (advanced coursework a plus) in a quantitative discipline (concentration in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field) philanthropic studies, or related field.
Experience in nonprofit management, organizing and/or advocacy work, fundraising or stewardship, coalition projects or philanthropy preferred; Passion for social change, social justice, or related issues.
5+ years of experience working with contracting and grants, programs relating to education, workforce development, and community partnerships desired.
Experience in high-touch customer service-oriented communication, fiscal management planning, implementation, and reporting with diverse non-profit organizations/stakeholders from other cultures.
Evidence of strong culturally competent verbal and written communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Experience and ease developing relationships and skillfully working with a diverse community of colleagues, partners, clients, and constituents.
Broad and deep understanding of contracting and grants and reporting, standard communication protocol with funding entities, and related parameters that typically appear in contracts, such as contract structures, program structures, program timelines and payments, insurance, and myriad of other related details.
Track record of successful task prioritization and execution with exceptional time management and organizational skills and ability to self-manage and follow through to reliably meet multiple, concurrent deadlines.
Tact, professionalism, diplomacy, a sense of humor; ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
Strong commitment to the mission of Young Community Developers Inc. and to individuals from diverse populations.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently (both virtually and in person).

Strong competency of QuickBooks accounting software required.
Strong experience with and interest in various information technologies along with competency across the Google and Microsoft suites of office software (e.g.: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Aptitude to quickly learn industry- or project-specific software.
