AWWA currently has an opportunity for a chapter relations professional. Our Section Relationship Manager is a member of our high performing, results oriented Section Services team. Our association management professionals work closely with AWWA Sections (Chapters) to help them engage members and provide solutions to effectively manage their organizations.
Your primary role is to build and manage effective relationships with your assigned Sections (Chapters). Successful chapter relationship management is demonstrated by serving as a trusted advisor and providing consultative services in the following areas:
Development and execution of strategies, programs, projects, initiatives, and/or training to fulfill AWWA’s goals for our Sections.
Association management topics to include member value, governance, leadership management.
Development and delivery of content for and manage major Association sponsored events for Sections.
Develop content for and maintain Section Services area of the AWWA website and other information and training platforms.
Monitor assigned Sections for fiscal and operational effectiveness.
Position requires up to 30% business travel. AWWA offers flexible work schedules including an optional Flex Friday schedule and/or combined in-office and remote work schedule.
Bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalent combination of education and experience with minimum of two years’ non-profit management or other related experience required. Background must include experience working with volunteers and training/facilitating small groups.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to effectively manage partnerships with internal and external customers.
Candidate must be detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and pro-actively meet deadlines.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook required.

Compensation commensurate with qualifications - targeted pay range is $55,000 - $58,000 and is paired with comprehensive benefits package that includes:
Immediate eligibility and vesting for retirement savings plan with a 6% employer contribution and 3% company match upon hire
Generous time off including three separate accounts (Vacation, Sick, and Personal)
Excellent medical, dental and vision plans with generous cost sharing by employer.
