The Ashbrook Center is seeking a full-time Philanthropy Gift Associate (PGA). The PGA processes all pledges and donations received by the Ashbrook Center and maintains the integrity of the donor financial records of the Ashbrook Center. Processing tasks include receiving, recording, receipting, acknowledging, depositing funds, and maintaining critical gift accounting records. The unique skills that are required of the PGA help to ensure the integrity of the gift-related financial data of the Ashbrook Center. The successful candidate will work out of the Ashbrook Center Office, located at Ashland University, Ashland, OH.
Key areas of responsibility:
Open, scan, enter all gifts into Salesforce
Deposit all gifts
Assist with weekly Philanthropy meeting reports
Return to sender processing
Credit card gift reconciliation
Pull Salesforce reports upon request: Grants, Foundations, and Administrative
Recurring Giving Processing
Stock and wire gift entry
Scan and uploading relevant documentation to Salesforce
Back-up thank you letters and Gift Report for Philanthropy Coordinator
Manage global Salesforce updates like solicitor changes or correcting errors
Conduct donor research utilizing iWave and other internet-based programs
Project planning, creating and monitoring Salesforce dashboards for Philanthropy
Projected gift changes
Webinar attendance reports
Plan, conduct, and execute meetings between Ashbrook stakeholders, outside consultants, and/or online support
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience working in nonprofit development or a field with similar transferable skills. Most important, the ideal candidate should have a work history that demonstrates success in managing multiple projects simultaneously, a high degree of personal initiative and conscientiousness, excellent organizational skills, superb interpersonal skills, reliable emotional intelligence, experience researching donors, and an appreciation and desire to further the mission of the Ashbrook Center. Candidates should have familiarity with current philanthropy software and database programs (Salesforce experience is highly desired), be an excellent communicator (both written and verbal), a fast learner, and a self-starter who accomplishes tasks and makes consistent progress on projects with minimal supervision.
