Glade Run Lutheran Services is currently seeking an individual with accounting experience to fill the position of Director of Finance. The Director will report to and work with the Chief Financial Officer to meet all organizational financial and accounting requirements. Responsibilities include the monthly preparation of all financial statements, all month end adjusting entries including prepaid items and accruals, providing audit and budgetary support, assisting the Chief Financial Officer on all special projects including grant reports and the meeting of regulatory requirements, preparation of quarterly board of director reports, the coordination of all agency insurance policies and related activities, and general accounting oversight.

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in accounting.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting with a preference for experience in non-profit accounting principles and practices.
Ability to multitask and absorb information across a broad spectrum of topics.
Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical/problem solving and research capabilities.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and apply accounting principles.
Knowledge of Internal Controls, Risk Management, Fund Accounting and Cash Flows.
Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and schedule time efficiently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and various accounting software systems.
Be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Must be able to identify with the agency mission statement and support the agency's core values.
Must have acceptable PA State Police clearance and PA Child Abuse History clearances.
Founded in 1854 as the Orphan’s Home and Farm School, today Glade Run Lutheran Services provides autism, mental health, educational and unique therapeutic offerings to children, adults and families through school and community based offerings. Glade Run provides K-12 day school education at two St. Stephen’s Lutheran Academy sites in Zelienople and Utica. On our historic Zelienople campus, Glade Run also provides therapeutic equine, animal and horticulture programming including summer camps, equine assisted learning and therapy, riding lessons, and individual and group activities. In the community, through offices in Butler, Beaver Falls, Cranberry Township, and Pittsburgh, Glade Run provides a continuum of autism and mental health offerings at our office sites, in homes, and in public schools.
