The Office of Development is seeking a passionate, highly motivated Sponsorship Manager to join its Fundraising Events team .
Be responsible for building and leading all elements of the sponsorship program across our fundraising events - Cycle for Survival, Freds Team and Kids Walk for MSK Kids; as well as MSKs community events (i.e., Comedy vs. Cancer). This includes developing a sponsorship strategy to meet and exceed program goals.
Help develop sponsor materials including contracts, proposals, presentations, and reports, while executing partner agreements and managing sponsor presence at events.
Prospect new sponsors through phone calls, written correspondence, in person and virtual meetings
Manage the renewal process for current sponsors, including identifying opportunities to grow partnerships
Monitor sponsorship trends and pro-actively identify new business opportunities for companies to engage with MSK
Provide a highly personalized level of customer service to all sponsor contacts and other key stakeholders
Independently manage a diverse portfolio of corporate partners capable of making $100,000+ gifts
A Bachelors degree and 4-7 years of relevant sponsorship, marketing or sales experience; nonprofit experience preferred
In lieu of a Bachelors degree, applicants with relevant experience will be considered
Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales goals
Experience independently managing a sizable portfolio and soliciting six-figure gifts
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively in writing, in person, and in a remote environment
Exceptional presentation skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills; Photoshop experience helpful
