The American College of Financial Services, the nation's leading accredited institution focused on delivering applied financial knowledge and education, seeks an Application Support Engineer. The Application Support Engineer will have the responsibility to serve as the primary support specialist for The American College application environment including on-premise and SaaS applications, which include PeopleSoft Student modules, SugarCRM, and custom applications supporting student data. This position requires ongoing and active communication with end-users and IT peers to understand current business processes to and translate them into functional specifications. The position acts on matters related to communication, training, and advocating the proper use of applications, services, and technology being delivered to employees.
Responsible for achieving in-depth knowledge of application software and business operations to ensure that applications are configured to support business requirements.
Track, log and respond to support tickets
Identify solutions to work around open issues/problems that are under investigation or pending resolution.
Acts as a liaison between other departments regarding application configuration issues.
Continuously leverage advanced data-driven problem-solving techniques and analytics to understand, influence, and report on key performance indicators to the business
Update and write SQL queries for support and data needs
Provide process and procedure documentation for colleagues and business users for software applications being supported, which leads to a better understanding of application and functionality
Continuously monitor and review the performance of current business processes in assigned functional areas in light of College staff and student needs.
Support projects through to implementation, providing testing and quality assurance support throughout as well as appropriate process documentation and staff training support.
Conduct periodic user surveys to determine service effectiveness.
Bachelors degree or requisite experience.

Sufficient manual dexterity for the operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment
