ACTFL has an immediate opening for a Recruitment and Certification Coordinator. The Recruitment and Certification Coordinator will be responsible for the full-cycle recruitment of world language experts for ACTFL’s contracts including recruiting and screening applicants, scheduling, and conducting interviews, tracking candidates, and reporting on recruitment metrics, and language expert retention. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Conduct initial resume review, initial phone or video chat screening, and schedule and facilitate virtual interviews
Post open positions using different resources such as social media, online job boards, resume databases, etc.
Administer language proficiency validation using various resources for qualified candidates
Track and manage recruitment metrics for ACTFL’s ILR OPI testing and rating capacity
Support ACTFL’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts during the recruitment process
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external members
Research recruiting trends and provide recommendations
Interface with ILR OPI stakeholders and Contracts and Compliance team and ACTFL leadership and contractors to ensure smooth efficiencies through the recruiting process
Participate in the implementation of strategies to engage and retain ILR OPI testers
Assist with coordinating in-person trainings, e.g., arrange logistics and travel plans for candidates
Communicate with participants the training and certification process
Prepare and assemble correspondence, rosters, agendas, and training materials for ILR workshops and events
Provide administrative assistance to team as needed and completes special projects as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience in recruitment (preferably in the linguistics field)
Proficient in one or more world languages required
Familiar with ILR OPI protocols and guidelines preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 or the ability to quickly learn in other office-related software, e.g., MS Teams, Zoom, G-Suite, iMIS
Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
Ability to creatively solve problems and continuously improve processes
Experience working with diverse employee, student, or customer populations
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Can manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
