The Member Services Specialist supports all membership and membership marketing strategies. Responsible for providing exceptional member service to all members and prospects. Executes the recruitment of all new members to CNS and monitors application process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Serves as a point of contact for inquiries related to CNS Membership, providing the best service through effective communication of comprehensive and detailed information.
Responsible for the monitoring and administering of membership dues payments; supports annual membership renewal and billing process.
Acts as a point of contact for membership application inquiries; assists with credentialing, tracking, and processing of member applications as assigned by CNS Member Services Manager; responds to oral, written, and email inquiries and provides prompt, accurate information.
Maintains the integrity of the member database, ensures the accuracy of its content; including timely modification of all records; responsible for documenting member communications regarding requests for change in member status.
Implements member recruitment and retention processes and communications as assigned by CNS Member Service Manager.
Oversees project management of membership programs and activities as assigned by CNS Member Services Manager.
Identify, research, and develop membership recruitment and retention strategies to meet annual goals for the CNS Membership department.
Manager in the coordination of logistics of CNS membership booth at the CNS Annual Meeting and other conferences, including print collateral, booth design and graphics as needed.
In the absence of the receptionist and/or back up, answers, screens, and transfers incoming phone calls as needed.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
A minimum two years’ experience, preferably in a medical/physician association.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Strong computer skills required, including expertise with Microsoft suite of software: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Proficient in use of internet.
Experience with database management is required.
Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with volunteer leaders.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment and tact.
Excellent writing, grammatical, and proofreading skills required.
Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills required.
