Center Information Technology (CIT) is looking for an outstanding, customer-focused SharePoint Developer II to join the Content and Information Management team in the Research & Enterprise Applications Department.The SharePoint Developer will be the teams technical and development specialist and will partner with the SharePoint Business and Support Analysts to provide comprehensive support for the Centers active and growing SharePoint community.Key responsibilities include development, ongoing optimization of custom workflows and InfoPath forms, investigation and introduction of new techniques and methods, and SharePoint support services. Responsibilities include:
Collaborate with SharePoint business analysts (BA) to identify process improvements and translate into SharePoint solutions using out-of-the-box tools and custom development
Work with customers, project managers, analysts, and technical staff to estimate, develop, test, implement and document new applications and improvements to existing applications
Contribute to requirements, specifications, and customer-facing content
Participate in Agile framework (daily, weekly, monthly) to ensure visibility of project contributions and timely iterative delivery
Contribute to ongoing daily support of SharePoint, including service requests and incident tickets
Continually improve skills, learning and applying methods, and practices of solution development and implementation to leverage SharePoint and related technologies to meet changing needs of customers
3+ years developing and supporting the SharePoint platform
Strong hands-on experience creating solutions with SharePoint features (e.g., web parts, site collections, content deployment, Excel Services, site columns, custom content types, native and custom workflows, advanced search, content pages, list views, file attachments, version history, etc.)
Intermediate experience with supporting toolsets, including Power Apps, Power Automate, connectors, InfoPath, Nintex Workflow, and Nintex Forms
Experience migrating content using tools such as Metalogix, AvePoint, ShareGate
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and language to non-technical end-users and collaborators
Ability to conduct full work continuum when developing optimized solutions, including identifying user needs, solution identification and development, systematic testing, and troubleshooting
Ability to work smoothly with technical and non-technical teams in a community with diverse academic, cultural, and professional backgrounds
Ability to collaborate with team members while accomplishing tasks with minimal supervision
Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field OR equivalent work experience
Strong experience with APIs and SharePoint plugins and integrations
Working knowledge of agile methodology
Experience working in a research, biotech, or academic environment
