The Member Services Assistant shall be a part-time employee of the organization and report to the Executive Director. The incumbent will have a wide array of responsibilities that support the Association’s activities including, but not limited to, membership database entry, general clerical, meeting scheduling and project based work.
Serve as customer service contact for incoming phone calls and general email communications
Process new memberships and assist with membership renewals
Data entry/management of committee & volunteer profiles
Perform general clerical duties including but not limited to: photocopy, fax, mail, package deliveries, internet research, and filing
Maintain office supplies as needed
Preparation of inventory of conference items to assist event planner
Assist with ordering conference supplies as requested by event planner
Other duties as assigned by Executive Director
Essential Functions of the Job:
Team player in a small organization environment
Ability to follow written and oral instructions
Ability to effectively communicate with members and customers via phone & email
Ability to carry light supplies and bring packages to post office, etc.
Possess an understanding of office technology, computers, printers, phones etc.
Ability to drive a car and/or have access to a car
Ability to work at a desk & computer for several consecutive hours
Experience with AMS and/or Database preferred
Experience with volunteer management a plus
Experience with MS Office and Google Suite products
Excellent Customer Service skills
Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communications
Demonstrated organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to “trouble shoot” office related problems and resolve them
High School diploma; AA or College degree preferred
At least 2 years of experience working in an office or similar environment carrying out clerical and scheduling tasks
Florida Driver’s License
Additional Salary Information: Part-time (15-20 hours per week), Flexible schedule can be accommodated
