The focus for the Accounting Specialist III will be processing Domestic and International invoices. A successful candidate will perform accounts payable responsibilities, ensuring that all accounts payable documents are received, properly coded, authorized, and entered for payment.
Managing accounts payable using Hyland AnyDoc and OnBase software, and other programs
Analyzing workflow processes
Reconcile vendor statements to company records, investigating discrepancies and initiating corrections within department guidelines as necessary
Communicate with end users by phone and/or email to assist with any payment issues
Communicate with vendors by phone and/or email to reconcile accounts as well as educate domestic vendors regarding Fred Hutch tax status
Assist in check & ACH payment audit prior to release of payment
Review taxability of domestic transactions
High volume invoice processing
Assist with month end close
Maintain confidentiality of organizational information
Other duties as assigned
High school diploma or GED required; College level accounting classes or Accounting degree preferred
At least 3 years of experience in accounting or accounts payable
Experience with Washington State sales/use tax regulations
Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Well organized with attention to detail
PeopleSoft and Hyland OnBase experience advantageous
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
