Lead our association’s events strategy to enhance the organization's image, improve membership loyalty and enhance our brand-to-member experience. The Event Manager will be tasked with researching and securing venues, planning and managing our events' calendar, negotiating quotes and agreements with vendors, assisting with event marketing, monitoring timeframes and budgets, networking and delivering on event objectives. The Event Manager’s creativity, organizational skills and vision will assist our organization in amplifying brand visibility, enhancing member and staff relations, and improve our organization's growth through events that effectively communicate association strategy and brand personality.

The noteworthy Event Manager should reinforce member-to-business relations, strategically advance the mission and brand of the organization through events and effectively deliver on event objectives.
Event Manager responsibilities:
Coordinating an event strategy aligned with the overall association mission and vision.
Brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts.
Handling budgeting and assisting with invoicing as needed.
Liaising and negotiating with vendors.
Negotiating sponsorship deals.
Updating senior management.
Managing branding and communication.
Developing and distributing event feedback surveys.
Handling post-event reports.
Assist with or lead meeting planning and staff events, as needed.
Event Manager requirements:
Relevant degree and/or five or more years of relevant experience.
Communication and marketing skills.
Project management experience.
Good leadership skills.
Good time management.
Proficiency in various event software and applications.
Expert interpersonal skills.
The position is based in Kansas City, Missouri.
