SUMMARY: In addition to assisting the Director of Advancement and External Affairs in implementing the ongoing advancement plan, the Director of Annual Fund and Fundraising Programs has specific responsibility for all Annual Giving and the Gala Event and works with the Director of Advancement on annual campaigns and school initiatives related to fundraising programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsible for the comprehensive implementation of Annual Fund solicitation programs for all constituencies.
Develop strategy and implement annual giving campaigns
Identify, enlist, train, guide, and support volunteer leadership
Track solicitation activity and report on campaign progress
Work with Director of Communications and Events Coordinator to produce, cultivation and recognition events, the Annual Report, and other campaign and marketing collateral materials
Work with Database Manager to keep accurate prospect and donor records
Maintain records and report on financial aid grant recipients funded by foundations and donors
Gala Auction Support
Oversee technology logistics as it relates to data processing of donor items and inventory working with various software platforms
Manage catalog conversion and inventory process and preparation for catalog editing and printing and online process
Oversee the daily management of gala volunteers
Manage mobile bidding software population
Work with the Director of Communication to help manage the gala website and social media presence
Oversee the Database Manger to transfer data between software platforms related to ticket purchases and donations and other types of gift processing
Finalize post-event cleanup to ensure data transfer between platforms and reconciling financial aid donations, general donations, and ticketing discrepancies
General and Department
Oversee data record keeping for Annual Giving
Participate in Advancement Department meetings and contribute to the strategy and implementation of ongoing fundraising programs
Coordinate annual budget development for annual giving and the annual gala
Assist in preparation of reports, minutes and presentations for various committee and staff meetings
Coordinate and implement recognition, acknowledgement and stewardship of fundraising program volunteers
Following best practices, support capital campaign efforts including moves management and assist with prospect research specific to donors and foundations
Represent CEE at CASE/NAIS, CAPS and other relevant professional associations.
Must have a willingness to provide one's own general clerical support.
PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience fundraising in a school or nonprofit organization, preferably in the areas of solicitation and constituency development, and donor recognition and stewardship
Bachelor's degree required
Excellent interpersonal skills and the desire to enjoy getting to know the school's diverse constituencies
Personal integrity, friendliness, patience, fairness, openness, non-defensiveness, sensitivity, flexibility and enthusiasm
Strong organizational and managerial skills, preferably with experience guiding volunteers
Ability to conduct effective, efficient, and engaging meetings
A cooperative team approach with colleagues and willingness to take on responsibilities beyond those explicitly defined
Must show a high degree of organization and be able to resume work following interruptions
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Good sense of humor and ability to be part of a closely interactive team of five advancement professionals
Ability to read, analyze and interpret written documents, write reports, and compose letters to parents and others.
Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing
Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, G Suite and Blackbaud applications
