This position reports to the Education Director and is located in Tallahassee, Florida.
Non-Exempt employee – 40 hours per week
Position Summary and Responsibilities
This is a highly responsible position that will support the association’s education and membership program and will be the lead person responsible for grant administration including compliance, reporting, budget and reconciliation, timelines, tracking due dates and invoices, communications with trainers and participants, planning, organizing, coordinating calls, and working with contractors.
In addition, responsibilities include, but are not limited to, activities designed to support building, development, and implementation of a successful apprenticeship strategy for senior living communities to expand opportunities for staffing career paths and building a sustainable workforce.
The ideal candidate will possess a high level of engagement and motivation; demonstrate good communication skills, work with groups, and be flexible in finding solutions. They must be detailed, organized and have good time management skills, and have experience with participating in various apprenticeship initiatives is highly desirable. In addition, this position requires experience in tracking project funds to ensure efficient reporting and success, and experience with various related software programs and technology.
Qualifications and Experience
Knowledge of state grant implementation, workforce development, and apprenticeship strategy
Experience applying, tracking and managing grants
Have experience working in a 501c3 organization or association experience preferred
Have excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills, and the ability to engage with and work with individuals by email and telephone
Ability to work independently, lead and manage multiple projects and deadlines, and
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software products.
Bachelor’s degree in related area.
