Our Marketing & Communications Division is growing and we are seeking the right person to help assess, develop and build our brand voice for the purpose of growing membership, awareness and adding value to all those we serve.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Communications & Content Manager requires knowledge of copywriting and strategic messaging development for our core primary audience: dental hygiene professionals and secondary audiences: students, corporate partners, legislators and the general public. This messaging should be compelling and relatable and curated for a myriad of channels including website, thought leadership articles, e-newsletter, e-mail marketing, social media and leadership presentations/speechwriting.
Craft informative and compelling communications materials. Determine the best method to create, repurpose and distribute content to different audiences.

The Communications & Content Manager will assist in the development of annual communication strategies and marketing plans for various ADHA divisions (Membership, Advocacy, Executive Office, Professional Development, Meetings + Events, Foundation)
Build and manage partnerships with internal colleagues as clients to develop, coordinate, direct, and facilitate strategic communications.
Do you have strong attention to detail? Can you adjust your writing style to target audiences while following style guide standards?
Review all marketing and communications assets to ensure they meet style guide standards (AP) and assist in the development and oversight of an ADHA style guide.
Manage the development and distribution of content including research, development, editing and review. Implement and evaluate annual communication strategies and marketing plans across ADHA audiences. Content channels include website, digital hub, e-newsletter, e-mail, and social media
Are you a team player who is willing to be flexible and jump into tasks while prioritizing current projects? Do you hold yourself accountable through self-directed engagements, tasks and seek out new projects while navigating departmental objectives and opportunities?
Assist Director of Marketing & Communications in the development and execution of association wide content strategy. Develop and manage the editorial calendar.
Help craft communications for leadership. Work on script development, speaker preparation and media coaching.
Experience: 5-7 years of communications or marketing experience.
Proven background in writing and editing
Smart project management and communication skills; comfortable developing and managing overlapping timelines, tasks and approvals
Experience with a member-based organization a plus
Independent working style with ability to collaborate in teams when needed
Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with or ability to utilize third-party email software (Informz/Higher Logic or similar)
Familiarity with AP Style and resourcefulness to find answers to unknowns with little oversight required
Education: BA or BS degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or a related field.
