The purpose of this position is to manage Strategic Relationships programs and audience development. This includes management of programs, such as key partner programs, the Global Health Equity Network (leading the African American, Latinx, and Women in Health IT communities), the executive engagement, audience acquisition, sponsorship fulfillment, and the development of future programs. This position also organizes and manages day-to-day activities, communications and deliverables for the strategic relationships department, Marketing, Communications, volunteer management, annual planning & budgeting. This position reports to the Director of Strategic Relationships.
Manages the Global Health Equity Network which includes the African American, Latinx, and Women in Health IT communities, including, but not limited to, project management, ongoing communications with internal and external stakeholder, managing sponsorship fulfillment, managing task force & community calls including agenda development, meeting notes and support. Responsible for maintaining the website pages, community member recruitment, recruiting engaging webinar presenters, moderating webinars, providing content for cross promotion, and sponsorship fulfillment. Supports the overall GHEN initiative work working with staff across the enterprise.
Manages Global Health Conference and regional member activities, which includes the Global Health Equity Network activities, Executives Circle, and other member related events. Responsible for ongoing communications with internal and external stakeholder, managing calls including agenda development, meeting notes and support, as well as maintaining website content.
Implements audience development strategies and new programs to support HIMSS membership growth.
Support strategic relationships efforts with key strategic partners including, but not limited to member engagement, event partners, year-round executive engagement initiatives, project management of new strategy development, and researching outreach
Manages Strategic relations planning and budgeting process including project management and meeting support.
Provide administrative and customer service support (i.e. manage general inboxes, field questions to appropriate staff, manage lists, etc.)
Perform other related duties as required or assigned that contribute to the effectiveness of the department.
What you will need to be successful:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Project Management related
A minimum of 3 (three) years of project management experience, preference in the not-for-profit sector
Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional, virtual communities and team environments or volunteer
Extremely detail oriented and accurate, able to work independently and with a team
Excellent written, verbal, planning, project management and organization skills
Strong interpersonal and team building skills, and proven ability to work with individuals at all levels. Success in maintaining
Demonstrated skill in proposal presentations to one-on-one and small
Advanced Microsoft Word Suite skills including Word, PowerPoint, and
Working knowledge of CRM software, Personify knowledge
Knowledgeable of social media tools (ex. LinkedIn, Twitter), web tools (Drupal), and survey
