Improves systems for planning and tracking cold outreach to potential new employer partners.
Plans, coordinates, and promotes on-campus and/or virtual recruiting events, including career fairs, information sessions, panels, and interviews, and other employer engagements.
Manages internal job board on a daily basis; grows student and employer use of internal job board.
Customizes the experience of each employerâ™s engagement with UChicago graduate students and postdocs to meet their specific recruiting needs.
Partners with recruiters and other hiring professionals to identify potential talent pools on campus and build hiring pipelines.
Uses data-driven processes to improve employer outreach and engagement in ways that meet studentsâ™ interests and needs.
Tailors employer outreach to the career interests and needs of professional and academic masterâ™s students, as well as PhD students and postdocs interested in careers in industry, nonprofits, and government.
Understands and continues to expand knowledge about career-related needs of UChicagoâ™s graduate student and postdoc populations.
Works with other members of the UChicagoGRAD career development team to integrate resources and support for employers and students.
Collaborates with other UChicago career development offices on employer engagements and outreach and promotion of events and opportunities to students.
Assists with facilitation of employer site visits for students.
Develops original content for career related publications and assists with the editing and distribution of Career Services communications materials.
Provides guidance and training to student career counselor interns.
Performs other related work as needed.
Advanced degree (Masterâ™s or Ph.D.)
1-2 years of experience working in higher education administration, talent acquisition/recruiting in a corporate or nonprofit setting, client management, sales, or marketing.
Working knowledge managing large-scale events.
Technical Skills or Knowledge:
Proficiency with MS Office, including Excelâ™s basic data functions.
Proficient in Symplicity or other career services platform.
Accomplished working with databases.
Familiarity with Zoom or other video conferencing software.
Background with MyEmma, MailChimp, or other email communication platform.
Professional, effective communication skills including proper email and phone etiquette.
Excellent organizational skills.
General collaborative spirit and customer service acumen.
