AUTISM COMMUNITY NETWORK IS A 501 (C) (3) NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION FOUNDED IN 2008. THE PRIMARY GOALS OF AUTISM COMMUNITY NETWORK OF SAN ANTONIO ARE TO PROVIDE EARLY, HIGH QUALITY, INTERDISCIPLINARY DIAGNOSIS AND EVIDENCE-BASED INTERVENTION FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IMPACTED BY AUTISM, INNOVATIVE EDUCATION AND TRAINING FOR PROFESSIONAL AND FAMILIAL CAREGIVERS, AND COMPREHENSIVE INFORMATION AND NETWORKING FOR OUR COMMUNITY AT LARGE.
I. Clinical Service:
Leads an interdisciplinary diagnostic team, evaluating children with suspected autism.
Provides follow-up assessment and intervention for families and children impacted by autism.
Provides patient care which complies with the Employee Handbook, rules and regulations and ACN's policies and procedures.
Participates in and incorporates Quality Improvement and research findings into practice.
Provides and/or serves as a resource for patient/family and staff education.
Provides an authenticated report of all services rendered and maintains accurate and complete records in an acceptable manner.
Completes necessary documentation and ensures communication in a timely manner to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement.
Provides supervision as appropriate to allied health providers and/or support staff in the clinical area.
A commitment to a model of care centered on inter-professional and collaborative teams of service delivery.
Actively support research activities the agency is engaged in. Seek additional opportunities to support and lead research efforts as time and interest allow.
Provides direct supervision for trainees (psychology interns/externs, medical residents, therapy interns, undergraduate interns), ensuring adequate opportunities for training through teaching, patient contact, case review and research.
Participates in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the clinical area and the organization overall. Participates in activities that enhance professional development. Completes and maintains any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the assigned area. Participates in the development of goals for the department including research, quality and customer service initiatives.
PhD or PsyD in Psychology from an APA Accredited Program
Successful completion of an APA Accredited Pre-Doctoral Internship
Full and unrestricted licensure as a Psychologist in the State of Texas (Currently the Agency is unable to provide supervision for unlicensed or provisionally licensed providers)
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families and as a team member.
Bilingual (Conversational Spanish)/Multilingual
Completion of postdoctoral fellowship in a related field, such as pediatric neuropsychology and/or
Competency to administer a variety of cognitive, developmental, academic, and social-
emotional/behavioral assessments, particularly formal training on the Autism Diagnostic Observation
Schedule - 2nd Edition (ADOS-2)
focused on the assessment and intervention with families impacted by autism.
Additional training in Cognitive Behavioral therapy, DIRFloortime, Dyadic Autism Interventions
Training in Neurodiversity
Tele-mental Health Certification
Additional Salary Information: 85K + commensurate to experience
