MassChallenge is looking for a Partnerships Account Manager to join the MassChallenge Early Stage Boston program. We are looking for a results-oriented account manager and customer success professional. You steward relationships with the partners engaged in paid sponsorships of our program and ensure their goals are achieved through interaction with the MassChallenge community. Our partner organizations include large global enterprises, government organizations, universities, law firms, and various other innovation-minded companies. You are detail-oriented, possess high business acumen, and are comfortable building relationships at all levels of an organization. You should be passionate about client service, delivering results, and uncovering opportunities to expand contracted partnership activities. To be a successful Partnership Account Manager you must be willing to take responsibility for driving various tasks to completion. This will require developing a facility with internal systems and work processes to efficiently service external relationships. You will also need to exhibit a passion for enabling the success of startups by helping our enterprise partners achieve their own business goals. This role will afford you the opportunity to engage with a variety of stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem, and your ability to develop relationships with this community of people will be critical to your success. In this position, you will report to the Senior Director of Partnerships. A note on location: this position will be based out of our Boston, MA office which is currently closed because of the global COVID-19 pandemic. These positions will start virtual/remote which means you can be located anywhere in the U.S. to start while working east coast hours. We anticipate opening the office no earlier than September 7, 2021, at reduced capacity and with strict safety measures in place. Once our office opens, you would be expected to come in, and at this time we are not able to provide relocation assistance. What You’ll Do - Steward all aspects of the relationships for the partners where you have been designated the Partnership Account Manager.
- Execute with excellence on all deliverables tied to each partner’s contract.
- Foster relationships with each partner’s innovation team members, and business unit stakeholders.
- Educate partners on the MassChallenge model and our acceleration methodology.
- Lead monthly meetings with your partners to keep them apprised of activities at MassChallenge and investigate opportunities to best support their goals.
- Drive cross-collaboration and communication between partners.
- Initially support and later lead the renewal process for current partners with an eye towards increasing partner engagement and revenue.
- Serve as the MassChallenge liaison to the partner to ensure their team members are engaged in all accelerator related activities (events, judging, mentoring, curriculum presentations, and office hours).
- Collaborate with MassChallenge team members in marketing, program operations, events, and mentorship to ensure effective service delivery.
- Embrace a service-oriented culture in working with partners.
Who You Are - You have 3-5+ years account management or consulting experience in the field of technology, business or entrepreneurship.
- You have strong customer relationship-building skills, are comfortable working with all levels of an organization, and can manage multiple stakeholders at once.
- You have a customer service mindset and are known to go above and beyond to help your customers while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- You have exceptional project management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- You are capable of dealing with ambiguity and changing priorities and circumstances.
- You are tech savvy and are quick to learn new technology and systems, such as Salesforce.
