At Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, home to three Nobel laureates, interdisciplinary teams of world-renowned scientists seek new and innovative ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening diseases. Fred Hutchs pioneering work in bone marrow transplantation led to the development of immunotherapy, which harnesses the power of the immune system to treat cancer. An independent, nonprofit research institute based in Seattle, Fred Hutch houses the nations first cancer prevention research program, as well as the clinical coordinating center of the Womens Health Initiative and the international headquarters of the HIV Vaccine Trials Network. Careers Start Here. The position will be responsible for the fiscal management of clinical research studies conducted within the COVID Clinical Research Center (CCRC). Prepares, negotiates, administers, and maintains study budgets in accordance with the study protocol and works with the post award fiscal research administrator to coordinate all financial activities associated with clinical trial protocols. Assures accuracy of study budgets and contracts and reconciles study expenditures throughout protocol lifecycle. Tracks progress of clinical trials through the study startup process. Reports to the Business Operations Director. Interacts with CCRC faculty and staff, physicians, and other clinical providers and support staff within and outside of the Fred Hutch / UW system. Establishes and maintains professional relationship with study sponsors and regulatory agencies.
