The Senior IT Manager is responsible for assisting the Director, Information Technology in the acquisition, installation, configuration, management, development, support, and maintenance of all information technology systems internally, externally and hosted in the cloud. Programming, database, report writing and system configuration experience relating to Association Management Systems (AMS) and deep knowledge of and relevant experience with Microsoft Office 365 configuration and administration is highly desired. The Senior IT Manager works closely with management and staff to provide help desk support, troubleshooting, end-user training, and documentation. Project Management responsibilities include vendor management, ability to document, define, and communicate business and systems requirements for technology implementation to help deliver expected strategic business benefits to the organization.
What you’ll own (Responsibilities)
Delivers AMS management through Oracle database and application development, administrative configuration, upgrade, support, and reporting.
Provides project management by documenting requirements, creating plans, and working with staff and vendors to successfully deliver projects.
Possesses deep knowledge of and relevant experience with Microsoft Office 365 configuration and administration.
Implements IT solutions and processes to streamline functions and improve productivity.
Provides technical help desk support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution to local and remote staff members.
Manages the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of the organization's hardware/software, including voice communication and audio-visual systems and applications.
Owns the delivery and maintenance of cloud-based services, including directory, email, storage, identity, security, web conferencing and telephony.
Demonstrates and applies knowledge of virtualization in the maintenance of hosts and VMs.
Ensures documents and certificates such as product registrations, SSL certificates and domains, maintenance agreements, service contracts, etc. related to technology operations and/or technology services are evaluated, updated, and processed.
Ensures availability and usability of VoIP telecommunications systems.
Monitors network operations, including troubleshooting connectivity problems, supporting, and maintaining all networking hardware.
Serves team members with patience and empathy.
Presents technical information simply and understandably.
Participates effectively in periodic IT budgeting exercises.
What you’ll bring to the job (Requirements)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
5-10 years non-profit or corporate IT experience required
5 years non-profit experience highly desired
5 years Microsoft Office 365 highly desired
Experience with ACGI’s Association Anywhere highly desired
Experience with database programming and analytics highly desired
Experience with AMS implementations and upgrades preferred
Strong leadership and technical aptitude
Strong vendor and project management background
Strong sense of urgency and personal commitment
Solid and effective oral and written communications
Highly motivated, results-oriented, and able to prioritize efforts to use limited resources effectively
Positive attitude, strong collaborator, organized and neat
Physical Requirements & Environment
Typical office setting with routine sitting and occasional standing. Routine use of basic office equipment and computer. Occasional local and out of town travel is required for this position. Occasional evening and/or weekend work maybe required based on business needs. Routine telecommuting is allowed. Occasional lifting objects or equipment up to 35 lbs.
