Breath of Life Women’s Health and Birth Center in Tampa Bay, Florida, is seeking an Executive Director for a growing nurse-midwifery group and CABC accredited birth center.  The center is located minutes from the famous white sands and warm gulf waters of Clearwater Beach.

In 2020, admissions for birth grew by 17% and enrollments are currently up by 45% compared to 2020. The ideal candidate will be an experienced administrator and leader, able to manage an increasing staff and budget.  Breath of Life, founded in 2007, is a non-profit, licensed, accredited birth center, dedicated to ensuring that every laboring person has the undivided attention of a well-rested nurse-midwife.  The nurse-midwives provide full-scope maternity and well-woman care in a beautiful facility with the support of an amazing staff.  www.breathoflife.cc Please send cover letter and CV to Cynthia Flynn, Board Chair, flynncnm@aol.com.

  1. Demonstrated success and experience as a leader, ability to manage  collaborative teams.
  2. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication and public speaking skills. Ability to engender support for the organization among donors and other constituents.
  3. Knowledge of sound business practices including Management, Finance, Risk Management, Personnel and Employee Relations.
  4. Specific experience with program and/or business development as well as marketing and public relations.
  5. Understanding and/or direct experience in nonprofit management and willingness to engage in fundraising duties.
  6. Supportive of nurse-midwifery and philosophy of Breath of Life Birth Center.
  7. Experience working with a volunteer Board of Directors and understanding of the respective roles of the Board and Executive Director in ensuring the success of the organization.
  8. Four-year college degree; preferred masters prepared
