The Emergency Department at St. Anthony North Health Campus (144th) has 25 beds withapproximately 80 patients per day, though it can range from 70-105 patients. We are aLevel III trauma emergency department where our nurses currently hold and can obtain thefollowing certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS and/or ENPC, TNCC, NRP and NIHHS. We area stroke and STEMI certified ED. We see neonatal through geriatric populations and takecare of anything and everything. We see many high acuity patients, with about a 25%
admission rate. Many patients are treated for sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, fallsand abdominal pain. We also occasionally see patients that are less acute and are moreurgent care-related, however this is not common. The ED does not get overflow; however,it does have to occasionally hold admitted patients until a bed becomes available. Ourmission is to provide excellent care to our community. We want our patients and their familymembers to know that when they enter our ED, they will be treated with respect, dignity
and receive excellent care by our talented nurses, critical care techs and providers.

Job description:

Responsible for the management of clinical nursing practices and patient care delivery on the assigned unit(s). Role functions include management of human, fiscal, material, support and systems resources. Demonstrates a high level of integrity, willingness to take on new challenges and has the ability to inspire and empower staff.

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• 4 years of experience in acute care setting.
• 2 years of supervisor experience.
• High School GED required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
• Masters Degree preferred
• Current RN license required;Current RN license in applicable state of work or current RN license from a participating state in National Licensure Compact for eligible states
• BLS through the American Heart Association required within 3 months of hire
• ACLS preferred
• Must achieve and maintain appropriate facility identified national certification or other applicable Magnet national certification within one year of becoming Nurse Manager.NEA is acceptableRefer to RN Lic/Cert Policy for acceptable certifications.
