The Michigan Pharmacists Association seeks an experienced Information Technology Manager. The position is a full-time, exempt position which reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO). The Information Technology Manager is responsible for the integrity of the Association’s database including data entry; creating automated workflows, developing queries and sorts for other staff members; monitoring, maintenance, configuration and upgrade of the Association’s client relationship management (CRM) system and implementing strategies to improve CRM performance. The Information Technology Manager participates in hardware and software procurement, implementations, installations and tests software upgrades and patches, monitors database performance trends to identify anomalies or errors, serves as internal point of contact for external vendors, as well as for staff when technology problems occur to resolve issues and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by COO.

QUALIFICATIONS Registration, certification, and or licensure required: Driver’s License
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology (or closely related field) from an accredited college or university and/or at least one year’s experience in similar position.
EXPERIENCE Prior experience in a related position is required. Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Proficiency with computers, technology system management and database utilization.
Desired Skills and/or Qualities Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills combined with strong technical skills. Must be able to work well under pressure, pay attention to detail and take initiative when needed. Must be able to work independently as well as be a supportive team member. Organizational and mathematical skills a must including budget development experience. Must have proficient written and verbal communication skills.
Work Schedule This position works a minimum of a 37-hour work week, except for the weeks prior to and during the MPA Annual Convention & Exposition. The Information Technology Manager is expected to work additional hours if needed to complete responsibilities. The Information Technology Manager is expected to attend the Convention each year and perform all duties and responsibilities as assigned for these days.
