Job Description:  Develop and deliver of professional development and career counseling services and programs for Brown masterâ™s students. Provide counseling services and programming in the School of Professional Studies and in partnership with departments, schools, centers, or CareerLAB. Plan and implement collaborative initiatives with campus colleagues to support career and professional development for constituent groups. Work closely with colleagues involved in masterâ™s career counseling and professional development to support masterâ™s student initiatives and to identify opportunities to continuously improve support for masterâ™s students. Major Responsibilities: Career Counseling -- 40% Supporting Actions: Provide individual counseling services for masterâ™s students. Utilize current theory, technology, and resources for career advising. Develop and present skill-building workshops related to the career development process for masterâ™s students with special attention to the needs of international students, historically underrepresented groups of students, Black students, and students in STEM fields. Counseling efforts should be aligned with, integrated with, and supportive of broader campus advising initiatives. Deliver programming and develop masterâ™s professional development resources. -- 30 % Supporting Actions: Evaluate, develop, and deliver career counseling services and programs for Brown masterâ™s students. Assess and identify career and professional development needs of masterâ™s students. Design services and programs to meet needs related to self-assessment, career research and exploration, and job search resources and skills. Work collaboratively with CareerLAB, academic departments, and campus offices for the benefit of masterâ™s student career development. Assess models of service delivery to develop services on par with comparable institutions. Assess, develop, and maintain web resources including overseeing the relevant sections of the SPS and CareerLAB websites. Work with CareerLAB Associate Director to build resources and opportunities for masterâ™s students; outreach and engage employers; develop and maintain relationships.  Collaborate with CareerLAB, department- and school-based career and professional development advisors, and student groups, academic departments, campus centers, and other University offices to develop resources and execute programming related to career planning. -- 20% Supporting Actions: Cultivate and support collaborations and joint efforts to support students, departments, and centers related to work and careers; integrate these efforts with University strategic plans, such as the Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan, faculty/departmental goals, and curricular and advising initiatives; engage with and support student leadership in advancing these efforts. Work with colleagues to develop goals, strategies, frameworks/plans, and processes to engage and support specific constituencies, and assess ongoing progress and opportunities for improvement. Engagement with and support of School of Professional Studies initiatives, projects, and other specific responsibilities -- 10% Supporting Actions: Participation in project teams and planning sessions to define and execute overall SPS initiatives  Serves as a resource to approximately 1100 masterâ™s and professional students in 27 programs Decisions Position is free to make:
