The Nueva School About the Nueva School The Nueva School, an internationally recognized, nonprofit, independent day school, has served gifted learners since 1967. Today, Nueva serves nearly 1000 students PreK–12. Nueva is located in the neighboring towns of Hillsborough and San Mateo, equidistant between San Francisco and Silicon Valley, serving six counties throughout the Bay Area of Northern California. The person in this role will oversee all aspects of our upper school while collaborating with the entire PreK-12 leadership team on school-wide issues. In addition to successfully leading 70 faculty and staff in delivering an ambitious educational program and a comprehensive set of support services, the person in this position will be expected to reiterate the school’s commitment to gifted learning, lead DEI-related activities, sustain and improve upon operational systems, and facilitate community-building events. The Temporary Upper School Division Head will report to the Head of School and work closely with students, faculty, staff, parents, other division heads, and other school leaders.
