Hackley School, a K-12 single-campus, independent school in Tarrytown, NY seeks a Director of Operations and Campus Planning starting July 1, 2021.
The Director of Operations and Campus Planning reports directly to the Head of School, while supervising the following positions: School Nurse, Director of Buildings and Grounds, Director of Technology, Director of Auxiliary Programs and Director of Food Services. Broadly, these responsibilities include oversight of the physical plant and campus, transportation, environmental sustainability initiatives, capital projects, campus safety and security, food service, school calendar, auxiliary programs, and information technology. The Director of Operations and Campus Planning serves on the Operations Committee and as a member of the Leadership Team.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, facility management, business administration, construction management, or a related field strongly preferred; Master’s degree a plus
A minimum of five years of experience in senior-level facilities management, construction management, or operations positions, preferably within an educational institution or nonprofit organization
Management experience with significant, high quality capital improvement projects
Strong record of cultural competence in leading, motivating, developing, and evaluating a large and diverse staff
Demonstrated experience working effectively with multiple constituencies, such as faculty, administrators, volunteers, parents, students, board members, and contract workers
An advanced understanding of and the ability to effectively use multiple platforms and applications as part of project management responsibilities
