We are based in Minneapolis, MN, but we have expanded to provide services to clients nationwide. Now, we are seeking partners to join our Campaign Consulting Subcontractor Pool, a group of seasoned fundraising professionals with experience taking major fundraising campaigns from concept to completion. We identify the opportunities and connect you with projects based on your skills and background.
This is a project-based role. The compensation and number of hours worked is based on the availability of client projects. Fox Advancement will provide the subcontractor with administrative support.
Fundraising campaign subcontractors at Fox Advancement take on a wide range of responsibilities, including:
Serve as project manager for the scope of work outlined in a client contract, guiding clients through the process from project onboarding to the final deliverables
Maintain familiarity with current contracts and clients, their programs, events, organizational structure, procedures and personnel to effectively direct questions and concerns and move projects forward
Provide management over client’s day-to-day pre-feasibility, feasibility study and campaign project needs as well as direction on overall fundraising strategy
Lead and participate in client meetings
Ensure deliverables are provided on time and that clients are receiving the highest-quality services possible
Research potential donors and volunteer leadership for campaign committees, cultivation, and solicitations
Work with client staff and board to leverage existing relationships
As the project scope dictates, initiate and coordinate with Fox Advancement grants team to develop a grants strategy and prioritized grant funding resources
Assist in editing various client campaign or firm documents
Maintain accurate records of potential donors, influencers, and key leaders
Consult on any marketing or campaign communications projects for firm and clients
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A strong candidate excels in a fast-paced environment. They will be a self-directed, strategic thinker with the ability to independently facilitate and manage client relationships.
Extensive campaign fundraising knowledge, including experience in strategic planning, feasibility studies, and managing large-scale fundraising campaigns
Ability to professionally prepare for and facilitate meetings with nonprofit clients and volunteer-driven committees
Experience in interviewing high net worth individuals and institutional funders (e.g., Executive Directors and/or program officers for corporate or private foundations)
Knowledge of the national philanthropic environment, and a willingness to acclimate with the local/regional philanthropic environment of a given client
Ability to exercise professional discretion and confidentiality
Ability to understand and fully use personal computers, software and applications (such as Zoom, Asana, Google Suite, Harvest time tracking, and SalesForce)
Ability to manage multiple priorities to ensure work is completed in a timely and productive manner
General knowledge of procedures for government, corporate, and foundation grant programs, as well as tax credit and loan programs
Strong research and analysis ability
Microsoft Office Suite skills; Adobe Suite experience a plus
Demonstrated organizational, verbal and written communication skills, business writing skills, excellent grammar and proofreading skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow written and oral directions with minimal supervision
Ability to effectively solve problems
Attitude of professionalism
Ability to work cooperatively with others
Ability to work with a variety of age, economic, ethnic and lifestyle groups
Subcontractors must have access to a working computer and high-speed internet service. Subcontractors will be required to take calls on their personal mobile devices; however, Fox Advancement will provide a dedicated phone number.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, fundraising, nonprofit management, arts, or other related field required
At least 10-15 years of experience in fundraising campaign management.
