CATALYST (Business Development) , Office of Strategic Alliances and Technology Transfer (OSATT) , to provide faculty-centric research administration support for a variety of risk-managed agreements, including industrial, nonprofit, and international sponsors, partners, and collaborators. Responsibilities include facilitating and acting as a resource for faculty who seek to secure agreements for sponsored research, education, or capacity building from non-federal sponsors; becoming familiar with MIT research and IP policies/practices, faculty IP portfolios, and faculty research needs; identifying and cultivating engagement opportunities between faculty and potential sponsors and driving these deals to closure; leading negotiation and closure of sponsored research agreements with the Strategic Transactions Team; coordinating with MIT's Office of Corporate Relations (OCR) on cultivating and responding to specific industry inquiries/interest related to sponsoring MIT research; providing support as agreements transition from negotiation to launch and execution; and handling special assignments as requested.
