About the Opportunity: Northeastern University, College of Professional Studies invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor, or Professor of the Practice position, teaching in the MS in Commerce and Economic Development, as well as in the BS in Management. This is an open rank position and the appropriate rank will be assigned upon evaluating the overall qualifications, experience and abilities. The Master of Science in Commerce and Economic Development, a STEM-designated program, integrates economics, leadership, technology, and public policy to prepare students for a career in the private or public sector. The BS in Management is an AACSB accredited programs that helps students develop competencies in project management, leadership, finance, accounting, technology, and sustainability, with a strong experiential learning component. At the College of Professional Studies we believe in providing industry-aligned educational programs that are designed to advance individuals' careers and accommodate the complex lives of motivated learners. Offered in a variety of formats, our courses are taught by accomplished scholars and practitioners who have real-world experience. Northeastern University's graduate students put knowledge to work at Fortune 500 and startup companies, universities, government agencies, nonprofits, and global organizations. Leveraging curricula that are informed by partner employers, students gain the perspective of the employers through experiential opportunities activities and real projects that align with their career goals. The position offering is a full-time, non-tenure track, one-year renewable appointment as an Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor/Professor of the Practice. The courses that will be taught would include, but not limited to, the following: innovation and entrepreneurship, economics of e-commerce, economics of human capital, finance for new ventures, building financial relationships. The position is based in Boston, Massachusetts. Courses are taught in multiple formats including online, blended, and hybrid; however, faculty have the opportunity for a home office, but are expected to be on campus 3 days/week and maintain office hours as directed and necessary. Faculty enjoy a collegial work environment that allows for work-life balance, and are expected to be available to students, whether in-person or online. Faculty contribute to the College's mission through teaching, service and scholarship. The faculty member will report directly to the Faculty Director of the Global and Social Enterprise domain.
