Overview: The Accountant will serve as an integral part of the Business Office, helping ensure strong internal controls and effective transaction processing routines that protect school assets and result in timely and accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minimum of 3 years of experience in business management and accounting (nonprofit expertise a plus)

Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with daily accounting processes, including cash receiving/depositing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, student billing, and collections
Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly
Provide support for the Chief Financial Officer in preparations for Finance Committee meetings or other Board-related meetings
Support the Business Manager in preparation and review of data for IRS Forms filed by outside auditors
Serve as crucial team member for annual financial audit prep work
Maintain personnel records/files on current and former employees
Assist with the communication of school benefits to employees
Provide financial and other reports and information as directed and fulfill other duties and responsibilities assigned
