Serving as part of the program leadership team, the Director of Housing provides leadership and direction in the management of New Moms’ growing supportive housing portfolio. This full time position supports the agency’s vision, philosophy and values through the delivery of providing quality services that support best practice standards for services to families experiencing homelessness. This position will oversee the day-to-day program management of our housing portfolio that currently includes a single site 40 unit transitional housing program, an 18 single site permanent supportive housing program and 15 scattered site units. The Director of Housing will champion all New Moms values including our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, in both strategic planning and performance. This position is located at our main office in the Austin neighborhood and spends significant time at our Oak Park location and in the community. Starting Salary: $70,000 - $73,000 DOE
Key Job Responsibilities:
Oversees the overall day-to-day programming of 73 units of housing through “best practice” standards for youth and adult led families that embraces a housing first philosophy
Works in tandem with other program leadership staff to integrate services across the agency including volunteers supporting program activities
Accountable for the hiring, training and supervising a diverse team
Ensures a variety of age appropriate supportive services are provided including parent support groups, life skills, and other engagement activities which are informed by positive youth development and our integrated service delivery model
Oversees all internal and external data management training, data entry, and compliance to ensure staff compliance with Agency and funder database requirements checking monthly for accuracy and completion
Manages the Coordinated Entry Process to ensure transitional housing units are filled within 60 days and meets bed utilization goals for contracts
Collaborates with the on-site Property Manager to provide seamless services that assist in the filling of units and residents successful compliance with their lease agreements including eviction prevention services
Participates in departments budget preparation and reviews; responsible for budget implementation and adherence

Bachelor’s Degree required in the area of social work, counseling, psychology, or other related field; Master’s preferred
At least five (5) years of work related experience
At least three (3) years of experience hiring and leading diverse teams
Experience managing multiple funding contracts preferred and working in multiple locations
Strong track record in managing a comprehensive and complex array of projects with intellectual curiosity, attention to detail and a results-oriented approach
Upholds a Family-Centered Coaching approach using a racial equity lens that: incorporates a trauma-informed, strengths-based service delivery model, which integrates harm reduction, motivational interviewing, executive skill knowledge, and positive youth development practices
Valid driver’s license, with safe driving record and valid insurance
