USO Midwest seeks an ambitious and highly motivated development professional to serve as Regional Vice President, Development to be based in Chicago. The Regional Vice President will be a strong advocate of the USO’s mission to lift the spirits of America’s troops and their families. Reporting to the Midwest Regional President, this individual will oversee a team of six and will be responsible for the successful implementation of fundraising strategies at the regional and field level within the ten state regional territory. In coordination with USO National Development staff and leadership, the Regional Vice President will lead and support corporate, individual, foundation and planned giving and fundraising strategies for direct-report operations within the regional territory. The Regional Vice President will work with Local, Regional and National USO Boards and will oversee a team of six.
The successful candidate will have 12 or more years work experience in a corporate, individual, foundation, and planned giving development role, including at least six years in a supervisory capacity. Relevant experience in a nonprofit, military, multicultural and/or global organization is preferred.
