The Controller reports to the Chief Officer, Finance + Operations and is responsible for managing the financial performance and accounting operations of the organization. This position will work closely with program and team leaders as an internal business advisor.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversee the activities of the accounting department for the accurate and timely distribution of financial management reports.
Provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
Develop annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
Participate in the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
The successful applicant for the position will meet the following requirements:
Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
5+years' experience as a Controller or equivalent financial role in a nonprofit or professional services organization.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced experience in Excel.
Experience with QuickBooks software.
Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Collaborative and positive team-building demeanor.

Hours of Work
Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with flexible options. Occasional weekend or evening hours.
