The Member Relations Manager manages the day-to-day membership activities and programs of multiple clients. Primary responsibilities are to coordinate and direct processes involving membership to include: implementing ongoing marketing and communication campaigns for active recruitment and retention, managing data, creating and analyzing membership reports, overseeing member benefits, managing dues processes, maintaining membership directories and collaborating with volunteers.
Membership and Event Retention and Recruitment. Manage, track, create invoices, and evaluate membership dues for renewals and new member applications from prospects using online membership management system. Develop and maintain membership marketing and promotional materials, including applications, brochures, welcome letters, confirmation letters, receipts, certificates, e-blasts, content for member section of websites and newsletters, and other announcements. Collaborate with membership committees from each association to develop and implement effective membership strategies and campaigns for retention of current members and attraction of new members. Assess member needs through preparation and evaluation of surveys. Research and negotiate new member benefits and services. Create and execute marketing strategies for client events.
Prepare membership reports, charts, member verification listings, voting lists, and special reports. Collect and integrate prospect data from outside sources. Communicate with the Meetings Department to ensure registrant data is recorded for prospect marketing and members? registrations are verified. Market membership to non-member registrants. Process and enter event registrations, in response to member inquiry, calls, and emails. Build online registration forms for assigned client meetings. Build and maintain client event landing pages using online platform (MemberClicks)
Provide high-level of customer service on a day to day basis, respond to requests, resolve problems, assist and answer questions from board members, committee members, members, and prospects. Participate in educational enhancing administrative and membership related webinars or conference calls. Attend assigned conferences to provide on-site support; overnight travel required.
Requires minimum 3 to 4 years of professional experience. Association management environment work experience a plus. Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience in online membership databases (Memberclicks, Yourmembership, etc). Demonstrate high level of customer service with previous customer service related experience. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships, and to participate on teams. Work well in an environment with firm deadlines. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrate professionalism in representing the organization. Work independently with minimal instruction. Telecommuting is allowed.
