The purpose of the Office of Development is to plan, coordinate and implement fundraising strategies to build support for Indiana University Southeast among individuals, corporations, foundations, and the community. Simply put, the Development team helps identify the interests of those who want to make a difference, and matches those interests to the various funding needs of the campus, such as scholarships, research, buildings, special programs and more.
The Office of Development strives to create and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with friends and donors by discovering and facilitating their philanthropic desires, engaging them in the work of the University in a meaningful way, and recognizing them for their contributions.

Reporting to the Director of Development, provide direct support to the Advancement staff through execution of responsibilities vital to the fund raising program of the University. The position incudes coordinating of donor records, gift processing, gift reporting and acknowledgment; data entry and analysis, and accuracy of data; and coordination with the IU Foundation on database functions. Manages a comprehensive stewardship program for maintaining regular contact with donors.
Associate's degree or equivalent and two years of related experience.
Experience in computer databases and spreadsheets. High level of computer proficiency including MS Office and relational databases. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Bookkeeping knowledge. Detail-oriented. Strong communication skills. Ability to work with limited supervision. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Proven orientation toward quality service. Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.
Nonprofit sector of higher education fundraising experience. Experience in Raisers' Edge, Reeher and Salesforce.
Working Conditions / Demands
Ability to lift 10 pounds. Sedentary work. Ability to sit for extended periods.
