The Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (FICPA) Scholarship Foundation is searching for a Scholarship Foundation Director to join our team! We are looking for a self-motivated and established candidate with at least 5 years progressive work experience in developing and executing fundraising events and the proven ability to raise funds through multiple sources. The Scholarship Foundation Director will also promote the Foundations’ visibility and awareness building efforts through special events and marketing. The Director works in collaboration with the Foundation Trustees for all fundraising programs including public relations activities designed to enhance and support the overall mission of the Foundation. Programs are conducted under the auspice of the Foundation in collaboration with other FICPA teams. In addition, the Director is responsible for managing and performing the administrative duties associated with the Foundation. This position is full-time and located in Orlando, FL. On occasion, overnight travel is required along with the ability to work some evenings/weekends, based on business needs.
The FICPA Scholarship Foundation was established in 1959 and has provided more than $3 million in scholarships and education programs to support Florida accounting students.

The FICPA is a Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace. Final applicants will be required to successfully pass pre-employment skills testing and a background investigation consisting of criminal history, employment, education, personal and professional references, as well as a drug and alcohol screening.
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or related field.
Minimum five years’ experience in donor cultivation and stewardship
Minimum two years’ experience with special event planning; sales, corporate development and/or fundraising.
Possession of a State of Florida Class E Driver's License and must be insurable to drive a personal or company vehicle.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven ability to lead large gift cultivation, soliciting donations, and hosting special events.
Knowledge of Scholarship Foundation By-Laws and operating procedures, laws and rules as they pertain to Not-for-Profits and the 501 (c)3 status.
Skill and experience in working with not-for-profits and their Boards.
A professional and resourceful style with the ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks/projects at a time to meet deadlines.
High level skills in writing and editing, planning and coordination of numerous tasks, and using software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, sales contact management software, and the internet.
The ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing, perform under time constraints and pressures, and work independently.
Ability to travel throughout Florida, as well as work evenings/weekends as necessary.
