The Chief Financial Officer has financial stewardship of this global membership organization and serves as a key advisor to the CEO for shaping business strategy.
This includes overseeing financial management, financial operations, treasury, reserve investments, and retirement plan administration.
The CFO will provide leadership in the areas of accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, and internal controls.
The CFO manages the organization’s relationships with external financial professionals and advisors (e.g. audit firm, legal advisors, banking, insurance and investment advisors).
The Chief Financial Officer will bring a well-rounded and disciplined financial and strategic perspective to the organization. The CFO will work closely with other members of the Executive Team.
Fifteen years of experience leading the finance functions of a global company or operating unit with international operations, including 3-5 years of experience leading people.
Past experience with not-for-profit associations or foundations, either in a staff capacity or as a board member, is desirable. Successful service as a trusted advisor and thought partner to Chief Executive Officer, Executive Team, and Board of Directors.
Preference for knowledge and experience with the financial transactions and operational requirements for mergers, acquisitions, strategic alliances and partnerships. Business acumen should also include highly effective vendor management and negotiation skills.
