HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATOR , Microsystems Technology Laboratories (MTL) , to provide comprehensive administrative management for all HR and community engagement activities across MTL, serving faculty, staff, affiliate, visitor, and student stakeholders and supporting Microsystems Industrial Group (MIG) members. Will assist with space coordination; serve as a lead and/or resource to coordinate and manage events; support and encourage community-building activities; advise and assist the administrative officer (AO) in responding to employee issues/concerns by interpreting applicable HR policies and procedures and making responsible recommendations; initiate recommendations for appropriate measures to address underlying systemic problems/issues, including suggestions on policy clarification or development or other development interventions; assist AO with implementing and coordinating organizational strategic objectives; create and maintain a model workplace, including career development, employee participation, and team collaboration; and identify problem employee relations areas and recommend appropriate interventions/corrective actions as needed with support and guidance from central HRO/Dean's Office.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor's degree in a related field; at least four years' HR experience; strong organizational, interpersonal, relationship-building, listening, facilitation, and mediation skills; consistently accurate use of English language and grammar in written and oral communications; meticulous attention to detail; experience supervising vendors; sound judgment with confidential/sensitive information; and proficient computer skills, especially MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be able to ability to multitask with minimal supervision; develop and manage project timelines; function effectively under pressure; and work independently, collaboratively, and cross-functionally. PREFERRED : MIT experience; project or events management experience in higher education or other nonprofit environment; at least one year of experience directly related to employee relations; and experience using Adobe Photoshop, Cognos, SAP, or their equivalents.
