The Communications Associate works directly with Jubilee USA's Campaigns Director. This position includes daily tasks and special projects related to Jubilee USA's internal and external communications including writing and editing online content, organizational resources, and press materials. This position is best suited for individuals interested in engaging in the nuts and bolts of media outreach and relations.
Writing and coordinating press materials;
Writing and coordinating blog and social media posts;
Designing graphics and visuals for emails and social media platforms;
Conducting media research and outreach to reporters;
Helping to write, edit and design educational, grassroots, policy and marketing materials;
Providing administrative support in:
Data entry: Maintaining press files, adding reporters to database, updating press lists
Office functions: Assisting with direct mailings and other related administrative work to support Jubilee’s development activities
Event support: Preparing materials, assembling packets, and taking notes at Jubilee USA sponsored events
Attending events and related conferences on behalf of Jubilee USA.
Applicants must be: detail-oriented, social media savvy, an effective communicator, able to work independently, and work well with multiple and competing priorities. Best suited for those interested in working in press, external affairs or communications. Knowledge of or interest in international debt and economic justice issues is a plus.
