OFFICER, U.S. AND INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES , Solve , to focus on Solve's expanding work within the U.S. Will play a key role in deepening and growing Solve's engagement with cross-sector organizations in the U.S. heartland and Solve's ongoing Indigenous Communities Fellowship and serve as primary liaison to the fellows; identify, pilot, plan, and implement programs to engage non-coastal U.S. communities in Solve activities, both physically and virtually; research, recruit, and engage private and public-sector leaders as Solve members, Challenge and Fellowship judges, and programmatic funders to build an ongoing community around non-coastal U.S. innovation; bring tribal and regional perspectives to Solve's Global Challenges through challenge design, challenge promotion, and solution support; lead the planning and execution of events that bring together the community physically and virtually to support indigenous fellows and Solver teams and build durable relationships; cultivate and engage with potential partners to identify possible mutually beneficial connections for Solver teams, indigenous fellows, and Solve's work; manage volunteers and consultants; and support the managing director as needed.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; three years' experience, including at least one managing relationships and partnerships; experience in and knowledge of non-coastal regions in the U.S. and in cross-cultural stakeholder and community engagement; flexibility; and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, take initiative, anticipate needs, and work independently in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. PREFERRED : knowledge and experience with engaging with indigenous communities; master's degree in an area relevant to Solve's work; experience in a social and/or environmental impact organization and in sales or nonprofit development, and project management training or experience.
