The Builders Association of North Central Florida (BANCF) seeks a dynamic, innovative, detail orientated Executive Officer with a strong background in membership. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Officer is responsible for day to day administration of all aspects of the Association, serving both current and merging needs by providing leadership and hands-on operational management towards BANCF’s mission, strategy and objectives. Applicant must be a collaborative leader, skilled in balancing multiple priorities and have an enthusiastic demeanor and passion for membership growth and improvement. Ideal candidate will actively engage leadership, staff and members. Must be eager to make a personal investment in the long-term success of BANCF. Must be a big-picture thinker who can deliver the level of services that members value.
Oversee all phases of Association business to ensure smooth and timely operations such as Board Meetings, Government Advocacy, Membership, Parade of Homes and all other events. Promote interest and engagement of members in the Association’s activities.
Plan and execute successful membership drives for recruiting and retaining members. Increase volunteer participation in membership recruitment.
Plans, organizes and coordinates staff, committees and activities to ensure Association goals are met
Recruits, hires and motivates staff with performance standards and goals
Maintain professional relationships with Local Government officials and allied organizations, managing the Association’s governmental affairs efforts. Develop and maintain working relationships with FHBA and NAHB.
Work effectively with the Board of Directors utilizing strong organizational and budgetary skills to oversee Association operations effectively.
A bachelor’s degree and/or related work experience in association management, preferably in a Building Industry Association, specifically in membership.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and QuickBooks. MemberZone experience a plus.
Strong organizational abilities including budgeting, planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation.
Ability to convey a vision of the Association’s goals to staff, leaders, and members.
Strong written and oral communication skills including public speaking.
