EveryMind is hiring a Grants Manager, Development and Communications (Foundations/Individual Giving). This position will work closely with the Chief Development Officer to identify opportunities, cultivate relationships and write proposals to secure funding. This position will provide support to maintain accurate fundraising and donor information and support communication efforts that promote and acknowledge donor relationships. The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task as part of a fast-paced, energetic development team.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for prospecting, cultivation, and stewardship of individual and foundation giving opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Secures grants that support EveryMind programs and services, including corporate, foundation and government funding opportunities. 2. Seeks out, identifies and executes relationships with new and existing grant funders. 3. Develops/manages recognition efforts of foundation partners and individual donors. 4. Contributes to EveryMind’s external communications to promote organization mission including social media, general appeals, annual reports, website, special events and newsletter. 5. Works in concert with the Corporate Giving & Special Events Manager, to maintain the donor database with accurate and timely data on grant funders and individual donors. 6. Manages interns and volunteers assigned to the Department to support specific fundraising or communication activities.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 5 years’ increasingly responsible experience in fundraising and marketing and communications, or equivalent experience is required.
Experience: Experience with media relations and social media. Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and astute listening skills including the ability to express ideas with clarity, confidence and sensitivity.
Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a variety of constituents including CEO, board members, volunteers, other EveryMind staff, volunteers, media, and donors. Knowledge and/or understanding of fund development database systems. Must be able to organize priorities according to changing circumstances in a positive focused and timely manner.
