Location: Hyde Park Campus Job Description: Unit-specific Responsibilities 1) Implement instructional plans for a new masterâ™s degree program and act as a liaison between the program, program participants, and social sector organizations in Chicago. 2) Develop and document policies and procedures for instructional design of new degree program. 3) Curriculum development. 4) Coordinate and staff committee meetings. 5) Outreach and marketing to prospective students. 5) Student orientation planning. 6) Work with the Deputy Dean of Curriculum and Program Manager to schedule courses and lecturers. 7) Arrange training and orientation for part-time lecturers. 8) Work to provide meaningful involvement of part-time lecturers into the intellectual life of SSA. 9) Staff coaching. 10) Communicate about the SSA A.M. curriculum to various audiences. 12) Teach up to two courses in the masterâ™s program at the SSA. 13) Provide academic advising and career coaching and development to prospective students.
1) Project management and organizational skills. 2) Works independently, receives minimal guidance. 3) Ability to plan, design, develop, and evaluate engaging learning / training objectives. 4) Ability to manage a complex workload, prioritize tasks and use good judgment in providing services based on a strategic goal. 5) Ability to assume ownership and responsibility for the needs of faculty and instructors.
