Financial Management Information Systems (FMIS) is a support organization housed within the Finance Division providing support for a variety of financial applications used across Fred Hutch. Those systems include PeopleSoft Financials, OnBase, WebFocus, and Huron Grants. The project manager is responsible for the success of all projects in their portfolio. The project manager plans, executes, and delivers all projects on time, within budget and scope in accordance with business priorities. Throughout the lifecycle of each project, the project manager tracks project status and manages project teams to mitigate issues and risks.

Directs large-scale, complex projects that may involve multiple internal and external stakeholders
Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
Defines, creates and executes project plans for project, portfolio, and product prioritization and implementation
Evaluates trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value
Partners with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria
Builds, leads, and coaches multiple project teams throughout project life-cycles
Provides frequent monitoring and enforcement of schedules, milestones, and vendor accountability
Facilitates all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects
Creates risk mitigation strategies to anticipate, assess and resolve project risks as they are encountered
Ensures all projects adhere to project methodology compliance standards set by the organization
Prepares project status reports and presents project performance updates to relevant business and executive stakeholders
Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
Ensures all projects meet success parameters and ROI targets stated in business case
Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, management or related field
Seven (7) years of experience with project management practices, principles, techniques and tools
Superior knowledge of applicable industry standards and best practices for project management at all stages of the implementation life cycle
Experience working with project and portfolio management Tools (Visio, MS Project, etc.)
Excellent project management and team leadership skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment
Focused and versatile team player who is comfortable under pressure, ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability
Strong knowledge of business objectives
Ability to flex communication and project management styles based on audience being served
Ability to take initiative and provide leadership to leverage technology while developing solutions for complex business problems
