Francis W. Parker School is a renowned JK-12th grade independent day school. We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly organized Development Coordinator. The Coordinator serves as an integral staff member in our successful Development operation, providing administrative support for the Chief Advancement Officer, and project and event support for the Director of Annual Giving and Engagement, while providing additional support to the Communications team and Development Office more generally. This position requires flexibility in work schedule to include some evenings and weekends; confidentiality and discretion; superior organizational and interpersonal skills; self-reliance and self-motivation; and the ability to multi-task in a highly active work environment.
Act as office manager as it relates to (a) managing general Development Office phone, voicemail and department email, (b) ordering office supplies and materials, and (c) communications with technology department regarding telephone and computer hardware issues.
Provide administrative support to the Chief Advancement Officer.
Maintain office calendar and assist with coordination of travel.
Generate, or assist in the generation of, materials and necessary information for the Administration, Business Office, board meetings, departmental meetings, donor meetings, committee meetings, etc.
Serve as the point person for all communication materials related to the planning, volunteer coordination and execution of the Rosenberg Lecture Series, the Robert A. Pritzker Visiting Scientist Inventor Engineer in Residence and the Susan F. Berkowitz Award For Outstanding Service to Children.
Provide project and event support for the Director of Annual Giving and Engagement.
Manage and coordinate various grandparent, parent, and trustee events, as directed, including but not limited to the Grandparent Breakfast at County Fair and Lower School Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day.
Research and create detailed profiles for prospective donors as needed.
Assist with registration processes for various Development and Alumni events; prepare all necessary materials for event check-in for all Development and Alumni events.
Attend and assist in Department and School events as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a fundraising or nonprofit setting.
This position demands a highly detail-oriented and organized individual who is able to successfully track, prioritize and complete a variety of short and long-term tasks in a flexible environment.
Proficient computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge software a plus.
Strong writing and oral communication skills, along with the ability to work with donors and volunteers.
